A second round of small business grants is now open, offering awards of up to $25,000 for storefront improvements, equipment purchases, and hiring costs.
The first round distributed funds to 34 businesses across the region, supporting an estimated 90 jobs and leveraging roughly three dollars of private investment for every grant dollar awarded.
Priority is given to businesses in the downtown district and to owners who have not previously received public funding.
Applications close at the end of the quarter, and staff are holding weekly office hours to help applicants prepare their submissions.
